Facilities
The John Brown University Archives is located on the first floor of the Education building, in LRC 150. The archives area is comprised of several rooms:
- The Archives Display room is a spacious, climate-controlled display area for the university’s artifacts. The room includes a timeline of JBU’s history, rare books, plus permanent exhibits of a number of pieces from the archives’ collections. In addition, special exhibits are displayed at various times throughout the year.
- The display room also contains a desk, a computer, and a microfiche reader for visitors’ research needs.
- Next to the display room are three offices: the Archives Coordinator’s office, a storage room, and a work study office.
Visitors are most welcome, and are encouraged to stop by any time during open hours.
