Forbes names NWA Among Top 10 Areas for Recovery
Northwest Arkansas is one of the top ten areas in the country poised for economic recovery according to a recently published Forbes magazine list.
Forbes examined data for metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) across the U.S. to identify the ten MSAs that were best positioned for economic recovery and the ten MSAs in the worst position for recovery. Projected gross domestic product, unemployment figures, home prices, incomes, and affordability data were among the figures compared by Forbes in developing the list.
The Northwest Arkansas MSA of Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers appears on the “best” list along with MSAs of Austin, Tex., Boulder, Co., Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, Tex., and Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, Wash., among others.
The news is encouraging for JBU because it affirms that the university is strategically located to provide exceptional internship and job opportunities to its students and graduates as they begin their careers, even in this challenging economic climate.
